The Patriot Act.

It not only applies to Assange but to all Americans and people world wide.

My understanding of the US Constitution is that all people who are on American soil are granted the Rights under the US Constitution.

I don't understand any of this. If Assange is an Australian citizen shouldn't he be extradited to Australia?

This has far greater implications than just 'freedom of the press" or "freedom of speech ". It is about "freedom" in a worldwide sense.

The US government is not spreading "freedom and democracy" throughout the world but a form of feudalistic slavery already apparent within it's own borders. Assange and Snowden are just two prominent figures being used as examples. Journalism should not be referred to as journalism any longer but propaganda. Tik Tok is being banned because it has become more journalistic than MSM. Photos are too difficult to analyze by computer and suppress by computer so the entire platform must be banned. Exposing crimes against humanity by a government cannot be ignored by that government. This is the real danger that AI poses to the fate of humanity. Suppression of the truth and control of all published views and opinions.

The US is claiming he committed a crime so they want to try him. Australia hasn't claimed any crime has been committed. Nor has the UK. Why he's imprisoned is a mystery - probably sue to BS about him escaping but they could just as cheaply and easily put him under house arrest and tag him. Dragging him out of the Ecuadorian embassy was just as criminal and I don't know why he chose Ecuador in the first place to seek refugee; they were utterly traitorous.

He is a proper journalist. He was meticulous in collecting and redacting etc.

My point is that if wikileaks was so bad - why did the US not take it down? Why did it advertise it for free on the news for weeks? Seems they didn't care much about what was shown as the same context from wikileaks was published elsewhere before wikileaks got it and is still being shared today. Compare this with Osama bin Laden's letter to America which was on all news news sites for years but was collectively pulled down at the behest of western governments when the youth of America discovered it and were circulating it on tik tok. It's that easy to delete something from the internet. So why not wikileaks?

Being a journalist - as opposed to a propagandist - is a deadly job. It's one of the most dangerous in the world right now. Israel has murdered many. They are threatened all over social media like Pleista, Motaz. Bissan who is still in Palestine probably has a big Red Cross over her head and I hope she isn't assassinated. We all know what they do to Waeel's family and his journalist son.

Snowdon has sought refugee in Russia, but Russia has also killed journalists including the horrible murder of Anna Politkovskaya - who they have previously tortured.

Assange is not killed - he is tortured. His life is probably worse than death.

The cruelty of the Western machinery knows no bounds. Just ask the Palestinians

I never heard of Bin Ladens letter but I do remember an interview public broadcasting here did with him before 9/11 where he stated that he had nothing against Americans but the US government was corrupt. That interview disappeared as well. He certainly spoke the truth.

One thing is crystal clear. The US government is deciding what justice is and making up the rules to suit themselves. There is no rules based order internationally or domestically. Assange is being slowly put to death in the most sadistic manner possible. The CIA would probably like to have him in Gitmo but probably have agents in the UK enjoying torturing him. But also consider that homeless US/UK citizens are in much the same fate being denied shelter, food and any type of medical care. The justice system no longer exists down to the lower courts. It's a means of suppression and subjugation. How it can happen I can't understand. The majority of judges are corrupt? How to change it I have no idea. To me it's been planned for 60 years and the plan is complete, although things are going to get worse.

How many people do you think understand what is going on? My experience is none that I know of personally and guess under ten percent overall in the US.

Not shutting down WikiLeaks is simple I think. An example had to be made. The longer it's dragged out the bigger the impact. It's to instill fear in anyone reporting the truth.

Snowden has disappeared and he was unique in his knowledge of the CIA which I am sure was of great interest to Russia. What happened to him? I emailed the website he was part of and never received a response.
