Thank you! We have an identical dilemma in the US. We're being asked to chose between two monsters demonizing each other. We keep hearing that voting for. a third party is a vote for the worser evil but maybe it's not too late? Unless something changes drastically in the next 5 months I'll be voting for Jill Stein. People I talk with say they'd love to vote for her but they are terrified of ending up with Trump. Maybe there's hope since so many of us feel the same way?
As Aya says, you may not win this time round but everyone voting with their heart & conscience in the next election will serve as a positive example for the next one. Encourage everyone you know to join you. Remind folk on both sides that the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.
TBF both Trump and Biden would be horrendous presidents, just with slightly different targets for their vicious attacks.
Thanks so much for writing so clearly how I feel, Aya.
I hope there is enough revulsion about what our current (and next) governments are doing that people will vote with their hearts. It will be interesting to see how many Independents stand with a pro-Palestine campaign.
their is another option, withhold our votes, if enough people do so, these sick puppets will not have a mandate to rule over us. The systems function is what it creates...
What about the rigged voting systems & the ballots rigged to favor legacy candidates from the duopoly? Vote flipping, we have to do a LOT more but this is a good start
This American is voting third party for the first time ever. I'll take my time to decide between Jill Stein and Cornell West, both of whom are brilliant, caring, anti-genocide candidates. My mother is so terrified of another Trump presidency that she will vote Biden in spite of the genocide. I keep trying to tell her 1) it makes no difference which one of those assholes wins, they are both trash, and 2) if Trump wins, at least people will fight back a little harder, since they got so complacent under Biden they're letting him keep cuddling with war criminals. In any case, the Palestinian people cannot wait for July, November or January for a change. Vote, and vote third party if you can, but don't waste your time worrying about election campaigns - fight the system with BDS, protests, contacting politicians, social media, all of that and more.

I hope that in both the UK and the USA third candidates that don't support genocide are elected.

This is a hopeful sign
