The ARROGANCE of IGNORANCE - Britain demonstrates once again people's ignorance of everything

You really do get the leaders you deserve

I am sorry I have been away for a while. I was fighting for a Parliamentary seat in the town I was raised in. I didn’t go to win; I went to contribute to the 150,000 votes needed to get national recognition and funding. People I worked alongside were hit by cars when they were canvassing or protesting for Palestine. We got racially abused, harassed, threatened, intimidated and spat at. We needed 150,000 votes and one MP. We got over 200,000 and did not win a single seat. I played my part. And now I am done. Let me tell you why.

Keir Starmer is the most dangerous man in Britain: 28 U-turns and an ‘unequivocal’ and unwavering supporter of Israel. This is the man who shat on Parliamentary custom and sabotaged the SNP motions day after a phone call with the President of Israel and a chat with Mr Speaker - son of Labour Friends of Israel founder. A committed Zionist, on par with Biden who said he was building a humanitarian port (lie) after seeing photos of beheaded Israeli babies (lie) to murder 3 more Israeli hostages and 247 Palestinians, his soldiers hidden in aid trucks. Keir Starmer, a human rights lawyer (lol) says Israel has the right to ‘defend herself’ (lie) which includes a siege on Gaza, and turning of the power and water to the children of Gaza. The US and Britain continue sending military aid and money and weapons to Israel. These are not men of humanity or empathy. These are men of Zionism, racism and supremacy. These are men who have scant regard for human life and not an iota of care for the lives of children. They do not care that children are suffering. They do not care that they are blown to bits. They do not care that innocents in Palestine are being annihilated, murdered, killed, exterminated, mutilated, tortured, sodomised, raped, destroyed, infanticided, ethnically cleansed, genocided, lynched, hunted, mauled, buried alive, mowed over, shot at, harassed, intimidated, threatened, displaced, urinated on, brutalised.

They do not care.

When you have leaders who have no regard to human lives - they are not leaders you can trust and it is not folly to trust them, it’s pure stupidity. To put the lives of your families in their hands shows a level of either contempt for your own flesh and blood or an arrogance of ignorance so severe, that truly, there are no words for it.

Genocide is an easy red line. It is the easiest.

You want to know what you would have done in the Holocaust, Britons? You are doing it now. You will continue to do it; you know nothing else. You decry people who don’t wear poppies - a symbol of those who died fighting genocide - but vote for those who actively aid and abet genocide. This ability to have two polar opposite positions in one’s mind at one time is a sign of insanity. But we see this as a growing trend; no wonder mental health problems are through the roof in the UK and globally. We are constantly propagandised to accept two opposites as true and this is not only illogical, it is impossible. It is enough to drive a person crazy; and it is. It is truly the root of the mental health epidemic. Like the young boy told if he works hard he’ll one day be rich; slogging 70-hour weeks as a delivery driver and still not being able to pay rent. Messages that don’t concur with reality.

When food gets expensive in Europe, Europe always goes fascist. Just look at France. Europe attacked the Jews mercilessly for centuries. Now they continue to attack Jews but in a far more insidious way. They have hijacked the religion of Judaism, cloaked it with Zionism and used Jews as their human shields as they promote genocide. Any Jew who sees it and decries apartheid, genocidal Israel, is harassed and intimidated, arrested, called an anti-Semite and has their birthright ripped away from them. It is utterly malevolent, cretinous and shameful. But this is the leader the British voted in - a man whose party expels Jews at six times the rate of anyone else for ‘anti-Semitism’ simply because they do not agree with the views on Israel the non-Jewish leader has. You cannot make this shit up. But here it is, in all its glory.

Of course, the Abrahamic cousins of the Jews, the Muslims, have been next on the target list of the Zionist neoliberal establishment. This is because the Muslims sit on a whole load of valuable raw materials. Unlike China, who actually trades with countries and builds them infrastructure, European states and their progeny like the USA, prefer to genocide, loot, rape and steal. Fair trading is non-existent. Of course, they could’ve simply asked Gaza for their gas and negotiated a fair price. But why do that when you can kill them all and just take it, and your mates can make money supplying the weapons?

And so, to the British electorate. After decades of decimation of their country, they are determined to inflict self-wounds if it means they can bash anyone of colour. Kicking low rather than aiming high is the modus operandi. What I heard on the campaign trail made me sick and the results make me feel even sicker.

Do not be shocked when I tell you Britain is in decay. Our roads are potholed and crap. Our hospitals are collapsing. 30% of all kids live in poverty. Millions of food bank parcels are sent out per year and many to working families - meaning they go to work and still cannot afford to eat. We have the only fully privatised water system on the planet and 70% of it is foreign-owned which speaks volumes of what the UK government really thinks of ‘national security’. Homelessness is on the rise and criminalisation of homelessness; that callous declaration of utter indifference, is actual policy.

High streets are ghost towns; empty and grey. Railway stations - in the main - are old. Town centres smell of piss. But the people. The people are in physical decay. Obesity is not body-shaming - it is a health problem which leads to many, many more health problems. People’s teeth are rotten. That is because it is near impossible to get an NHS dentist and private dentistry is not cheap. People’s hair is thinning. They reel of their health problems. A significant portion of the public is on antidepressants unable to live a full day without falling into despair.

But rather than vote for better; for hope; for change, they voted for the status quo: for the same parties who got them here and kept them here. They voted for a continuation of decline.

Many people told me while I was canvassing,

“I’m voting Labour.”

I’d ask them, “What Labour policy do you like?”

“Dunno.”

“Who is the Labour candidate?”

“Dunno.”

“Have you read the manifesto?”

“No. But I’ve always voted Labour. Always have, always will.”

On and on it went.

“I don’t like Keir Starmer, but we need the Tories out.

It was the same with Reform.

“I’m voting Reform.”

“Why?”

“Because I am.”

“Have you read the manifesto?”

“No.”

“Do you know the manifesto calls for the end of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, meaning if you are sick or become unwell they don’t want you to have any rights? Do you know they are asking for your human rights to be taken away?”

“I’m still voting for them.”

This type of inanity is breathtaking. Labels mattered more than policy. Populist brown-people bashing won votes, with absolutely no comprehension of what these parties were actually proposing. For example. for all its immigrant-bashing rhetoric, Reform actually accepts it needs immigrants! This is in its manifesto! The people voting for them whom I spoke to largely had some sort of health issue that affected their work: the manifesto is against their inclusion in the workplace. But no-one actually read it.

The Labour voters were more inane. Blindly voting for someone because they are not someone else is not strategy, it’s stupidity. It’s not even childish, because children only choose the people they like to be on their team when they are picking sides for football. It’s at a level cognitively lower than that and probably even pre-womb.

Maybe the greatest of all, were those who said, “I don’t vote!” nose in the air with an air of arrogance even the King of Lydia would not have mustered as he sat upon his mountains of gold.

“If you don’t do politics,” I would say, “politics will do you.”

“Nah, they’re all the same, nothing changes!” Say the people who never change their own habit of not voting.

I despair. I despair. I despair.

I am an educated ethnic minority British Muslim woman who has felt the full force of British Islamophobia, but who still took to the streets to help British people - MY PEOPLE.

I slogged and walked the streets, often alone, being calling names, spat at, pushed, threatened, and intimidated, because I believe no one is standing up for the British people and someone needs to.

So, I stood up.

I stood up so British people could feed their families on a single wage, so that rents were capped and people were not exploited by greedy landlords, so that our ambulances and hospitals were properly funded, so that the cost of living crisis would end and the 30% of children were lifted out of poverty. and so the homeless got houses and the prisoners way past tariff and in indefinite detention were released; so that our money went to us and not to wars abroad; so that our moral dignity and humanity remained intact and that the genocide in Gaza would end.

But in return for this, the British voted in bigots who hate brown people, and for those aiding and abetting war criminals; those killing more Muslims and treating Jews who do not agree with Zionism, with utter contempt.

This is how they repaid me. This is how they repay so many of us - excellent citizens - providing the services they rely upon.

After years of speaking out about the injustices in Britain, I say now, no more. How can I continue to fight for people who have no regard for me, my life and that of my family? Who, when times get rough, turn on us and vote in people who demonise and humiliate us, all the while while we still try and fight for a good and fair deal for us all?

I will no longer fight for the people of Britain. They have said loud and clear that they do not want me to; and that they will never treat me with dignity.

There is a saying in Islamic narration that you get the leader you deserve.

Britain has again, got the leader it deserves.
